Well, I think I have the presence of mind to tell when someone is being inappropriate, but sometimes when things happen that shouldn't, I like to make sure it isn't just me.
Long story short:
A tree fell on my house over the holidays. The insurance claim is in my name (hubby and I have different last names....radical, I know). My twenty-something insurance adjuster continues to return my phone calls by calling my husband. I leave him a message with my work and cell numbers and he responds by calling my husband and not me. This has happened 3 times so far. I even wondered if he was 'splitting' to try to get one of us to say something that would harm our case, but he was very professional at my home and things have gone smoothly for the most part.
Today my husband called to say the insurance guy had just called him in response to my message I left for him yesterday afternoon. I was instantly pissed. Not to mention that I had some other questions for him that my husband didn't know about since I'm the one with all the records in hand. Sadly, I could expect this more from an older man but from such a young guy it is more surprising.
I plan to complain about this when the matter is settled, but I did call him back today and left him a message stating I was curious about why he continues to call my husband in response to my messages.
What do you think?
