NANGA PARBAT CIRCLE TREK



Nanga Parbat, 8,125 meters known as “the Killer Mountain” the 2nd highest peak of Pakistan and 9th highest in the world ranking, located in the western most Himalayan range, Nanga Parbat means “ the naked mountain” and is also known by the locals as “Diamir”

This exciting trek takes you through the most beautiful areas around the Nanga Parbat, visiting lush green alpine meadows and scenic villages, exploring the three base camps around this mountain known as South face from Rupal, Diamer face, and North face from the Fairy Meadows. Nanga Parbat is the only mountain of above 8000 meters in the world where one can walk in circles.


The south face of the Nanga Parbat is one of the highest precipices in the world, a rock face of 4500 meters vertical wall; it also offers one of the most hazardous routes to the top of Nanga Parbat. We drive up to the Astore Gorge through enchanting Himalayan land scapes to the small mountain village of Rupal lies at the foot of south side of Nanga Parbat.here we begin the first leg of the trek crossing the chunghphere and Bazin glaciers before reach to the lush green meadows of the traditional Base camp of this Killer mountain. Crossing the Mazeno pass 5370 meters high, 300 meters steep descend down to the loiba glacier, in to the base camp of Diamer face, which offers the easiest climbing route.

Trek up to the enchanting green pastures of Fairy Meadows, where we see the one of the biggest mountain face and offers the unforgettable view of North Face of Nanga Parbat, hike through the thick high altitude pine forest and lush green alpine meadows to visit the base camp, Nanga Parbat was first climbed by the Herman Bhul in 1953 by a joint Austrian German expedition.

ITINERARY:

Day 1 Islamabad.

Morning arrive Islamabad, meet and transfer to hotel. After noon visit the Islamabad and Rawalpindi the twin cites and explores the colorful bazzars of Rawalpindi, visit the Shah Faisal mosque and damn -e- Koh to have the view of Islamabad the modern capital of Pakistan. Overnight hotel.

Day 2 Chilas.

Morning drive to Chilas, passing through the enchanting valleys of Mansehra and Indus Kohistan along the Mighty River Indus, enroute visit the ancient Rock Carvings at Shatial and Chilas. Overnight hotel. (12 hours)

Day 3 Tarishing.

Morning drive to Thalichi, from here transfers to four wheel jeep and drive through the narrow Astore gorge to the lush green mountain villages upto Tarishing village where the jeep Road ends and the trek starts. Overnight in local Inn. (6-7 hours)

Day 4 Nanga Parbat Base camp.

Today we start our first day of our trek, cross the Chunghphere glacier and a very easy and gentle walk on the green slopes of the Rupal village, we cross the Bazin glacier to enter the green meadows of the Latobo the traditional base camp of Nanga Parbat. Meals and over night in Tents.( 5- 6 hours)

Day 5 Mazeno Base camp.

After the break fast walk through the green meadows with wild willow and birch forest and along the thoshin glacier to reach the green camp side at the bottom of the Mazeno pass. Meals and overnight in Tents.( 4-5 hours)

Day 6 Mazeno high Camp.

A gradually steep walk up through the green alpine meadows and wild bushes to reach the camp side close the pass, offers a panoramic views of high peaks surrounding and the sharp Mazeno ridge of Nanga Parbat. Meals and overnight in Tents.( 4-5 hours)

Day 7 Loiba Meadow.

Today we cross the Mazeno pass (5370 meters) a very steep descending through with the help of fixed ropes

To Loiba glacier.a short hike to the green ablation valley along the glacier. Meals and overnight in tents.

Day 8 Zangot.

Walk through the green meadows and passing through the summer settlements of the local village herders before we reach to the Zangot. Meals and overnight in tents. (5-6 hours)

Day 9 Kachal.

Trek to kachal croos the buner gah and walk up to the green and scenic mountain villages and the summer settlements of the local shepherd herders. Meals and overnight in tents. (4-5 hours)

Day 10 Diamer Base Camp.

A very easy and gentle walk takes through the thick pine forest and green slopes of alpine meadows facing the magnificent view of Nanga Parbat. meals and overnight in tents. ( 5- 6 hours)

Day 11 At the Base Camp.

Free day to explore the area and relax in the green camps sites. Meals and over night in tents.

Day 12 Kachal pass.

Trek back to Kachal meadow and cross the Kachal pass, a gradually steep walk up through the green slope of the meadows and we enter to the Karo Sagar. Meals and over night in tents.( 7-8 hours)

Day 13 Kadu sagar.

A very gentle and easy walk takes you through the thick pine forest and green slopes of green meadows with the view of Nanga Parbat. We passé the summer settlements of Local peoples. Overnight in tents.

Day 14 juliper Base camp.


An easy walk up through the lush green meadows with colorful flowers and high altitude birch trees takes you to the base camp of Juliper peak. Over night in tents. (6-7 hours)

Day 15 Beyal.

Today we cross the juliper pass (4625 meters) and enjoy the magnificent view of Nanga Parbat, Chongra Peak and Ganalo peaks. a very steep descending to the Beyal meadow. Meals and overnight in tents. (7-8 hours)

Day 16 Fairy Meadow.

Morning excursions to Nanga Parbat Base camp, visit the monuments of alferd Drexel and Willy Merkle the Climbers who laid their lives on this killer mountain during the 1934 to 1937. Explore the area and after noon trek back to fairy meadows. Meals and overnight in wooden log homes. (5-6 hours)

Day 17 Fairy Meadows.

Free day to explore the area, explore the Raikot Glacier and the meadows. Meals and overnight hotel.

Day 18 Chilas.

Morning walk to Tato village and drive by four-wheel jeeps to Raikot Bridge at the KKH, from here we continue drive to Chilas. Over night hotel. (6-7 hours)

Day 19 Islamabad.

Morning after break fast drive to Islamabad, passing through the lush green villages of Indus Kohistan and Mansehra valley. arrive and transfer to hotel. (12- 13 hours)

Day 20 Departure.
